Job Summary:
The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring the company's financial health, and driving strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial services, particularly in treasury management, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Treasury:
Develop strategies to optimise debt and other funding structures, delivering liquidity from a range of providers.
Engage with banks and institutional investors to deliver efficient, secure funding for financial products.
Efficiently manage all aspects of treasury risk.
- Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
Lead long-term financial planning and forecasting efforts.
Oversee budgeting processes and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Financial Management:
Manage all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and financial reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the board, investors, and other stakeholders.
Lead the financial appraisal of investment and diversification opportunities.
- Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with other executives to drive business performance and achieve financial targets.
Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and board on financial matters.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
Implement robust internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Oversee risk management activities, including financial risk, operational risk, and compliance risk.
Ensure the company adheres to the highest standards of financial integrity and governance.
Qualifications:
- Education and Certification:
Bachelor’s degree.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
- Experience:
Significant experience in senior financial leadership roles, preferably within the financial services industry.
Proven track record in a high-growth environment.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance in the UK.
