We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Credit Control Manager to oversee all aspects of credit management and accounts receivable. This role is responsible for ensuring the organisation’s cash flow and credit risk are effectively managed in line with internal policies and external regulations, while maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the credit control team, including performance reviews, training, development, and maintaining a robust skills matrix to support employee wellbeing and engagement.

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable ledger across multiple entities.

Ensure strict compliance with internal credit policies and external credit insurance requirements.

Oversee and manage the company’s credit insurance policy, ensuring sufficient coverage to meet business needs.

Monitor and report on debtor positions, providing regular updates to senior leadership, asset-based lenders, and insurers.

Maintain proactive customer relationship management to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.

Assess and monitor customer creditworthiness and financial stability to mitigate risk exposure.

Support statutory and internal audits through timely and accurate provision of financial information.

Contribute to improvements in debtor days and overall working capital through targeted initiatives.

Collaborate with commercial teams to balance credit risk management with commercial objectives.

Lead and contribute to digitalisation projects aimed at enhancing credit control efficiency and accuracy.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives within credit control and cash management processes.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in all work activities.
Person Specification:

Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable management role, ideally within a large multi-entity environment.

Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.

Strong knowledge of credit risk management, financial controls, and reporting.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills.

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
-
Customer-focused approach with a strong commercial awareness.
