Job Description

Treasury Manager

Location: Staffordshire (Hybrid - 2 Days on site)

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Benefits

Our financial services client is seeking an experienced candidate to lead the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant treasury and regulatory reporting. You will be the technical lead for capital, liquidity, and interest rate risk (IRRBB) reporting.

This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of technical accounting, regulatory expertise, and leadership to manage a Regulatory Reporting Accountant and oversee the integrity of the ALMIS system.

The ideal candidate will be from a Treasury and/or Financial Services background, or from a Big 4 Accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ALM & ALCO Reporting: Ownership of the ALCO pack, summarising performance against risk appetites, and maintaining liquidity stress testing models.

  • Regulatory Submissions: Oversee and perform first-level reviews of COREP/FINREP, PRA110, and Bank of England statistical returns.

  • Hedge Accounting: Lead month-end reporting, journal entries, and documentation maintenance (desirable, not essential).

  • Governance & Controls: Own the control environment for Prudential Reporting, manage RCSA testing, and act as the primary contact for Internal Audit.

  • Regulatory Strategy: Monitor PRA policy statements and consultation papers, engaging with UK Finance to shape the firm's response to industry changes.

  • Leadership: Direct management and development of the reporting team and oversight of the finance system.

Person Specification:

Technical Expertise:

  • Advanced understanding of accounting principles (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred or equivalent experience).

  • Deep knowledge of IRRBB, capital, and liquidity frameworks.

  • Proven experience with COREP, FINREP, and PRA110 within the financial services sector.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Analytical Rigour: Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into clear, actionable findings for ALCO and ARC.

  • Strategic Control: An "ownership mindset" with a focus on data integrity and documentation quality.

  • Communication: Comfortable engaging with regulators (PRA/FCA) and industry bodies.

  • Mentorship: A track record of coaching junior staff to improve technical output.

Important Notes for ALL Applicants

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the office in Staffordshire. Suitable candidates will live within a regularly commutable distance.

All applicants must hold full, UK Citizenship. VISA Sponsorship is not available for this role.

This is ideally a permanent (salaried) position; however, we also welcome applications from professional interims/contractors (day rate).
