Job Title: Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: up to £27 - £35k

 

Vargo is recruiting for a well-established Group that is looking for an IT Helpdesk. The role will be working alongside a small IT team to support this busy group of companies. Each day will be varied in nature, so will suit someone who enjoys a broad hands-on role. Although the head office is based in Aberdare, there will be flexibility to work remotely as required, there will also be a requirement to travel to other sites which will be fully expensed.

The client is ideally looking for someone with about three years of experience either in a 1st and 2nd line support function. You will have an opportunity to improve systems and process, including taking an active role in projects. The role will offer a clear progression to become a more senior member of the team as the group of businesses continues to grow.

 

Knowlege of or experience in the following:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 running on Laptops and Desktop PC. Deployment and support.
  • Microsoft office 365 – support (helping users, applying licenses, troubleshooting, and solving problems).
  • Microsoft Intune (an awareness of what it is and does and the ability to create polices).
  • Microsoft Autopilot (an awareness of what it is and does and the ability to create polices).
  • Microsoft SharePoint administration (User permissions).
  • Microsoft AVD supporting users and troubleshooting their issues.
  • Android and Apple phone and tablets – setup and user support
  • Sage50 user support (training can be provided)
  • Sage200 user support (training can be provided)
  • Remote support tools (RDP, TeamViewer, quick assist, Datto RMM)
  • Understanding of various communication technologies (Starlink, LTE, ADSL, FTTP)
  • Mimecast administration
  • Active Directory – user administration
  • Azure Entra ID – user administration
  • Printer setup management and configuration (Xerox / Konica / Olivetti).
  • Basic networking with the ability to understand VLANs and Subnets.
