The Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Relationship Manager to join our Operations team in the South West.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated portfolio of clients to ensure profitability, high-quality service delivery, and compliance with facility agreements. You will support clients by balancing risk with optimal funding, maintaining accurate data, and driving retention through consistent communication.
Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management: Develop a strong understanding of all clients within your portfolio to ensure effective monitoring, risk management, and timely escalation of risk events.

Funding & Credit Control: Oversee credit control activities and perform daily reviews of invoices submitted for funding (including credit limits and disapprovals) to maximise client funding while managing risk.

Client Service & Relationships: Handle day-to-day communications, manage payment requests, resolve queries promptly, and build lasting relationships that support retention and income.

Data Accuracy & Compliance: Maintain accurate customer records, validate new clients in line with internal procedures, oversee monthly data requirements, and support facility reviews.

Person Specification

Experience: Around two years of credit control experience, ideally within a financial services or office environment.

Qualifications: Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and/or Mathematics; a degree is desirable.

Attributes: Driven with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management skills, and the initiative to self-manage daily routines and propose solutions.
