Finance for Enterprise (FFE) is a leading commercial lending business dedicated to helping businesses grow. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit and Fund Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in signing off new loan applications, managing our loan portfolio, and supporting new funding tenders.

Responsibilities:

• Credit Review and Sanctioning: Conduct thorough credit analysis of loan applications, assessing financial viability, risk factors, and security positions. Get involved with informed lending recommendations and play an active role within the credit risk committee.
• Portfolio Management: Analyse loan performance, identify potential risks, and implement effective risk management strategies. Prepare comprehensive data reports on portfolio health and trends. Work with the Senior Management Team to formalise and implement new portfolio strategies
• Credit Committee Participation: Actively participate in Credit Committee meetings, presenting credit analysis and recommendations, and contributing to informed lending decisions.
• Fund Management: Work collaboratively with solicitors and third parties to manage the existing loan funds, ensuring efficient utilisation and compliance with Fund regulations.
• Funding Exploration: Analyse and propose strategies for new funding requirements, including securitization, accessing grants, and raising further capital.
• Support new funding tenders and proposals.
• Data Analysis: Leverage data to perform in-depth portfolio analysis, identify trends, and support informed decision-making.
• Staying Informed: Remain updated on relevant regulations, market trends, and best practices in commercial lending.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial lending or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex financial information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
• A strong understanding of credit risk management principles and regulatory requirements.
• A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.

Job Title: Broker Manager
Location: Wales / Southwest Region
Ideally based in South Wales, but candidates along the M5/M6 corridor will be considered. Territory will be assigned based on location.

Requirements

• Asset Finance Funder sales experience (essential)

Package

• Basic Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE)

This would be ideal for an experienced Business Development Manager from a Business or Commercial Banking or SME lending background (including SME lending brokers) who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity to work with high-growth SMEs.  The finance FSE offers is “market gap” lending/investment which would not be provided by a Bank - looking at business plans and spend required to help the business grow. Our aim is to also increase the probability of success of those businesses, with our “more than money” support with the focus on strong relationship management.

Job responsibilities:

• Responsibility for origination of lending and investment opportunities for East Coast Investment Fund, including creation, management and development of prospective debt deal pipeline.
• Marketing & promotion of the business throughout the south region and more widely in terms of potential partner organisations. Management of deal pipeline marketing & promotion.
• Initial response to inbound enquiries, including preliminary eligibility review and referral through to debt or equity Investment Managers as appropriate.
• Recording of deal enquiries/flow using CRM system
• Proactive research of potential businesses suitable for SWIF support.
• Support origination & appraisal of primarily debt funding proposals.
• Presentation & meetings with funders, accountant & other potential introducers across the region
• Attendance/speaking at relevant SWIF roadshows and partner events.
• Attendance at relevant local or sector cluster networking events.
• Relationship management of Growth Hub and other partners across the region.

• Signposting of SMEs to relevant support networks, where proposal is not investment ready or requires additional support prior to investment team engagement.

Required Skills & Experience:

• demonstrable experience in originating, marketing, promotion & relationship building activity within funding or business support environment and associated SME & partner engagement activity.
• evidence of strong professional network of introducers within the south coast area
• excellent presentation skills, especially with ability to market the funds to online prospects/introducers & ability to communicate and interact at all levels of management.
• a high level of IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office 365 products

Job Title: Trainee Business Development Manager

Salary: £32,500 (increasing to £40,000 over 12 months, subject to performance)

Location: Manchester, office-based 5 days a week

Vargo is hiring for a dynamic hard asset funder that offers hire purchase and leasing services to SMEs across the UK through a network of asset finance brokers. This role will address the rising demand for asset finance from SMEs, and brokers in the north region.

Responsibilities:

- Identify new business opportunities by approaching new introducers while maintaining relationships with existing contacts.

- As an external sales role, you'll conduct face-to-face meetings with brokers across the northern region

- Manage leads from the initial proposal stage to the final payout.

Requirements:

- Recent experience in the asset finance industry, ideally in a customer-facing or broker sales role for a funder.

- Suitable for individuals with limited or no track record in broker sales management.

- Sales-oriented with the ability to plan and manage high levels of activities and contact strategies.

- Must possess a full driving license and be a confident, experienced driver.

- Previous experience in credit appraisal is preferred, including reviewing searches, bank statements, and financials.
